
Idalia Flores Guzmán, is a native from Zacatecas, Mexico. She is currently a program manager for the New Americans Initiative (NAI) and Immigrant Family Resource Program (IFRP) with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR). Ms. Flores is responsible for program implementation, monitoring, reporting, and outreach. An important part of her role is providing technical assistance, training, and support to partner organizations.
Ms. Flores has over 10 years of work experience with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. In 2017 Ms. Flores received the Peggy A. Montes Unsung Heroines Award for the 7th District for her work with the Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) and her volunteerism in the 7th District.
Ms. Flores has a passion for volunteering and helping her community. She currently volunteers as the Kelly Park Advisory Council (KPAC) president in the Brighton Park Neighborhood. She works in partnership with local organizations, public officials, and the Chicago Park District to ensure that Kelly Park receives the resources necessary to provide programs to the community.
