Nora works as ICIRR's Development Associate, concentrating on organizational fundraising and membership efforts. She was raised in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, where as a first-generation child she became deeply connected to the issues of immigration, English and poverty. Nora is a former McNair Scholar and SROP Researcher with focused examinations on Latino/a organizational and identity politics. She has also served as an intern for Ethnographies of the University (EOTU) producing a project on Latina/o student activism at UIUC. Nora continues to remain closely involved in her community as a mentor with Erie Neighborhood House. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Political Science and Minor in Latina/o Studies.
